We do understand the frustration of being labeled unteachable. Everyone at Play Attention was once a teacher or has a child with attention difficulties.

By subscribing to Dr. Rabiner's newsletter, you've demonstrated a desire to be informed about the latest research, programs, and educational interventions. Welcome to the cutting edge of attention training!

As you can see from our logo, Play Attention consists of a sensor loaded helmet and interface unit. Our software monitors brainwave signal from the helmet indicative of attention and cognitive processing (thinking) and allows your child to control the educational exercises by using their mind and attentional state alone! That's right, they see their actual level of attention as they are completing the exercises and actually control screen characters by focusing on them.

Play Attention uses the same technology developed by NASA to assist pilots to develop and enhancing their attention skills. By working with the Play Attention system over, your child will gradually learn to stay on-task, to finish a homework assignment, to take multiple instructions to multitask, and to increase his or her attention. We also include a full behavior management system to help reduce impulsive and disruptive behaviors not conducive to learning or home tranquility. Many homes, schools, learning centers, and psychologist's offices already use Play Attention in the US, China, Australia, Europe and Canada.

Although we firmly believe that the Play Attention training system can provide important benefits to your child, and the value of this technology has been supported by considerable research, educational, and clinical experience, it is important to recognize that there are no easy solutions or quick fixes for serious attention problems. Play Attention should be used as part of a comprehensive treatment program that may include such other interventions as medication, behavior therapy, and specialized educational supports. Play Attention can provide valuable benefits that complement and add to these other approaches. That has certainly been the experience for many children and families.
